Mary Katherine Brennan and George Simonson are partners in Red Squirrel Studio. They create artist’s books, fine-art prints, paintings and contemplative photography.

They have been together happily since 1975 and make a point of collaborating on some of their pieces.

After many years in New York City, they now live and work in a Maine farmhouse by the sea—with, as Mary says, “red squirrels racketing around the yard that are every bit as busy as we are!”

Mary and George believe that life, for all its joy and sorrow, is fundamentally a gift. They try to reflect this in their artwork, marriage and state of mind.
